500g granulated sugar

Instructions
For the Syrup: Put the listed ingredients inside a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, mixing so the sugar melts. After that, remove from the burner and leave to cool completely. Pour into a clean bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for about four weeks.
To make Cocktail Base: Mix the specified spirits and syrup in a big jug, leave to sit for an hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, so it's perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml from the batch mix into a stirring glass filled with ice, and stir carefully for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Strain into a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, decorate with a few cranberries and complete it with a quick spritz with the mandarin essence over the top.
